How to use a tattoo l How to make a tattoo

You will need to transfer the tattoo(s) to the file the game looks in to find tattoos (no, the game won’t search your whole computer for them... lol) Go into My Computer, double click on the C: drive (my computer says Local Disk (C: ), yours may be different,) double click on Program Files, double click on Lionhead Studios, then double click on Black & White. We are almost there. If you want the tattoo(s) put in Creature Isle, then double click on CreatureIsle. Then you double click on Profiles and double click on “your profile name.” Whew!!! Now you’re there. Transfer the tattoos you want to use into this file. Now you have to rename them so the game recognizes them as tattoos (picky isn’t it.) You will rename them... symbol*. Replace the * with the tattoo number you want to replace in the game (symbol1-16 Note: there is no space between “symbol” and the number.)

How to make your own tattoo

1. [The right size for a tattoo] Go into paint, go up to the menu bar and click on Image, then go down and click on Attributes. You will need to change the Width and the Height to 64 pixels. Click OK, then you are ready to go.

2. [Creating the tattoo] You will only be using two colors to make your tattoo, Black and White. Everything in white will be your tattoo. Anything black will be invisible to you in the game. So you start by filling in the whole square with black. Then you can draw your masterpiece. After you are done, all you have to do is save it as a 8-bit grey scale bitmap (bmp.) Easy enough, huh?

3. [Making multi-colored tattoos] You make multi-colored tattoos by making more than one tattoo and stacking them or puzzling them together. I will show you a small one with only two parts. This is the Background, put it on first.

This is the Main part, put it on next.

Just make each part the color that they are supposed to be and put them on in the correct order. This is the finished tattoo on the creature.

4. [One last thing to do after making your tattoo] After you have made your tattoo and have tested it out on your creature. You can post it on here or you can e-mail it to me and I will upload it the site so everyone can have access to it. (I will of course give you recognition of making the tattoo) Anyone can make a GREAT tattoo with just a little bit of practice.
