Hello, I'm new to B&W. I heard that B&W was a good game when it came out but I just now started playing, I got the game a few days ago and haven't been able to stop playing it since I got it. I found this site and downloaded a few maps. I also plan on playing B&W 2 once I finish the first one.

Welcome to the forums Lyghts and to B&W.  Hope you like it here.

Might I suggest playing Creature Isle before moving onto B&W2?  Just to experience all the games in their original sequence wink .

No you may not  angry. Welcome to Kayssplace, "I" on the other hand, will suggest something; I think you should try Create Isle before moving onto BnW2.  laugh 2

Thanks for the welcome, I got CI and just installed it so I'll start that as soon as I finish the original, and for BnW2 I have to wait until I get a video card (that's what my tax return is for).

One word, CompUSA.  They have top GPUs at really competitive prices.  Me, myself, personally... I run BW2 on full Max settings with an i5 processor and an Nvidia Geforce 310M with no issues.

If you've got the cash, a GTX 570 (Nvidia) is one of the fastest cards out on the market. It supposedly outdoes just about everything.   woot

Oh no, I didn't give you a welcome Cookie !  There ya go! Enjoy!

It's always nice to see new people joining the community. It makes me feel good about the legacy of Black and White. Anyway, welcome!

What do you find most entertaining about the game?

I really enjoy training the creature and I'm getting into making Maps but I might just wait until I get B&W 2 for modding, I always enjoy making custom content for games (I guess that's why Neverwinter Nights has been my favorite game for so long.

As for the video card, my mom is getting a new box this weekend and says that I can have her 1 gig GeForce, It might not be the fastest card but it will save me some money and I can spend that precious tax return on something more important.
